El Cajon Western Little League chartered in 1959 as part of California's District 31.  In 1960, District 41 was created by splitting off El Cajon and La Mesa from District 31.

In 1977, El Cajon Western Little League represented the United States against the
International Champion, Li-Teh Little League of Kaohsiung, Taiwan. El Cajon Western was
defeated by Kaohsiung, Taiwan in the final game by a score of 7-2.
